  • Paralegal: £150 + (VAT at 20%) £30 = £180 per hour

Employment Tribunal Representation

Employment tribunal cases can vary significantly in complexity and duration. We offer both fixed fees for straightforward cases and hourly rates for more complex cases:

  • Simple Case (e.g., straightforward unfair dismissal claim):
    • Preparation and representation at a one-day tribunal hearing: £3,000 + (VAT at 20%) £600 = £3,600
  • Complex Case (e.g., discrimination or whistleblowing claim):
    • Preparation and representation at a five-day tribunal hearing: £15,000 + (VAT at 20%) £3,000 = £18,000

Additional Fees

Certain cases may require additional work that incurs further costs. These are typically foreseeable and will be discussed with you upfront. Additional fees may include:

  • Barrister Fees: Varies based on complexity and experience of counsel; typically £1,500 - £5,000 + (VAT at 20%)
  • Expert Witness Fees: Varies based on the expert; typically £1,000 - £3,000 + (VAT at 20%)
  • Travel Expenses: As incurred, typically £50 - £200 + (VAT at 20%)

Disbursements

Disbursements are costs related to your matter that are payable to third parties, such as:

  • Document Copying and Postage: As incurred, typically £50 - £150
